The contract to provide the 3MW electrical connection for the Luggie's Knowe Wind Farm has been awarded to Orkney firm Bryan J Rendall (Electrical) Ltd. Rendalls will design, construct and commission the works including substations, switchgear and cabling to connect to SSEPD's existing 11Kv electrical distribution network. The connection will comply with SSEPD's Active Network Management system introduced as part of the Northern Isles New Energy Solutions (NINES) project.
